Wow! How exciting to have two replies to my post! I am new to the site and feel so lucky to have found it! I plan on taking my two little ones to the Westside Park (playground area) this Sunday morning. We will be there at 10:00 a.m. Hopefully, anyone interested will join us! If not, perhaps we can arrange another date/time to meet up? A little about us! My husband and I graduated from UF in 94. I have a degree in Journalism and my husband has an undergraduate and graduate degree in accounting. We moved to Jacksonville in 1998 and then Tampa in 2000- following corporate jobs. All of the stars were aligned in 2006 and we were able to move back to Gainesville!!!! I work FT from Home and do some travel. I am in Human Resources. My husband works for the University. We have been married for 15 years-yes waited to have kids until we were settled/traveled etc. Since we moved back, we have been very busy and have not met many people with children our kid’s age. My son goes to preschool and is on a summer break. He misses school and since he does not have any little buddies, I feel I need to make a better effort to connect w/ some people w/ boys his age. It will be great for my daughter as well! We are very down to earth and family focused people! Anyway, I look forward to meeting you both if you can make it. If not, we can try for another time. Thanks fr your replies! We have a little routine where I take the kids to the park in the morning and Dad cleans the house while we are gone! That way we can go into Monday with a little bit of order in our lives! What about an afternoon during the week? It does get hot though! Have either of you been to the park by TV 20? That park has a ton of trees and offers some relief...not much! Anyway, what about this coming Monday afternoon? We could also try to meet at the Swamp in the mall...air conditioned yay!
