Nikki, my pediatrician is very, very pro breast feeding. Her name is Dr. Judy Banks. She and Lisa Tumarkin have an office on the fourth floor at North Florida Regional. I had a lot of problems with my first child and she really encouraged me and helped me many times until we got the knack of it. I just love her so much!

I started with Dr's behind North Florida... hmm... what was their name...Milla Pediatrics...there was a fantastic nurse there but left 2 days after my second child was born, and since then they went downhill fast... they wouldn't find time for a newborn to have a checkup and said they didn't have time for over a month!!!!!

So we switched to Dr. Massias (as prev. mentioned by others)and all was well, until she went on maternity leave and her fellow dr.s were very unfriendly and constantly misdiagnosed my very troubled infant.. I was frustrated and switched to Haile Pediatrics..... close to home.. an Indian doctor who understood me and our family much better LOOOL and have provided service beyond my expectations. Especially when I said no to certain brands of vaccines, they went out of their way to offer other brands and talk with me about my concerns....the most random medical questions they would sit down with me and really talk with me. I never ever had that in a doctor before... I wish they would see adults!!!!!!!!!!!!

day care/prek: I enrolled my oldest in preK this fall, private school... Millhopper Montessori.. I hear it is great, but we will see!!!! Good luck new Gainesville mommies! Hope to see you soon!
