Hubby has already moved to Gainesville, but the relatives that he is currently staying with will be moving themselves. So, we are currently looking for a rental in or around the Haile Plantation area. We do have the option of renting the house that his relatives are moving out of. We believe that the rent will be $300/week. From what I can tell from here, that seems to be pretty normal for the area. Does anybody know of anything cheaper? Since we are still paying a mortgage here, we really could use the rent to be as cheap as possible. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Also, does anyone know what quadrant Haile would be considered? NW, SW etc?
I live in Haile and occasionally look at the message boards in the post office. The house next door to me is about 1200 square feet and rents for around $1000. Some of the 2004 vintage condos in the Village area are around the same price. Haile is consibered SW Gainesville but actually is in Alachua county.
In the quiet Heritage green area, there are 4 homes for sale on SW 86th TER. Perhaps one of those owners might be willing to rent instead of having the house stay empty.
