Our first child is due in January and so far so good!

Our as yet unnamed boy is already rambunctious and kicking away and the thought of actually having to give birth is kinda starting to freak me out a little!

I'll be cruising around and getting used to the site.

Thanks!

My daughter was a little busy body inside and she gives us a work out now. She is always on the move.

I suppose a little history of me would be nice:

Married 8 years in December.
Thirty-five years old.
We actually live in Ocala but both work in Gainesville (anyone wanna buy a house in Ocala?)
Would LOVE to be able to stay home when the baby is here but would settle for a night job so I could stay home during the day
And I'm the one that Aimee was talking about on the childcare forum needing some assistance.

What else, what else.....?

Hey Rainbow! Welcome to the site! We have such an awesome group of moms.

My daughter was the same way in the womb. Except she would always get the hiccups, so every couple seconds I'd feel a jolt.

I hope you can make it to some of our upcoming events! We have a moms' night out this Friday. If you'd like details, you can e-mail me at gainesvillemoms@gainesville.com

So are you thinking about any names!?

Hi Rainbow, and welcome! My daughter was usually calm while still in utero but there is one local band that we would go to see and she would cut loose when they played, the lead guitar in particular sent her wild! Know what? It still does!! As soon as she hears his music, she drops what she's doing and starts dancing. Funny how things translate during PG and afterward.

Did you go to Aimee's son's first bday party? If so, then we met. I'm trying to place you.

I didn't. We live in Ocala so motoring to, from, and around Gainesville is hard for us as much as we love it up here.

Welcome! Where are you delivering? I had 2 names up in the air: Jack after my FIL and Joseph after my hubby since our baby was due around his birthday. He went late and was named Jack and we are so happy. Do you have a few names picked out we can choose from? Not that it will affect your decision but we all love giving our 2 cents!

Well hubby and I have a looooon history of not agreeing on things and naming our child is no different.

I LOVE Benjamin Lucas. He likes Christian Alexander. I prefer Alexander as a first name, he doesn't.

We may use his dad's formal name of William and then MAYBE I'll be able to pick the middle name.

Right now it's completely up in the air but suggestions are definitely welcome!

Don't feel too bad, our son's first name was chosen by Daddy as he drove the 20 mins to the hospital to pick us up to come home! He did arrive a month early, but still, you will get it right, don't worry. And since the hospital told us we couldn't leave without picking a name, I did ask if that meant they were offering to watch him a few days to let us finish getting the house ready and that would be NO. Just FYI Big Grin Wink

I think both of those names are awesome. And I mean that! I might have to write those down for future reference! Smiler
