Two boys, ages 3 and 1 |
Alright, I've been noticing we've had a lot of guests on our site lately, so I'm going to put you all on the spot!
Here's a forum thread just for you; it's a personal invitation for all you moms to come out of lurkdom, introduce yourself and join in the conversation. I know from personal experience all it takes sometime is a friendly little push. Any new members want to take the leap? Any old members who haven't posted in awhile and just want to say hi? |

One son, 7 months |
I have posted several times since joining in July but I guess I have never formally introduced myself.
I am from Gainesville originally, grew up here, went to UF but then moved away for the "greener grass" and found that Gainesville is really where I wanted to be and where I wanted to raise a family. My husband and I are the proud parents of one 7 month old little boy. I am a Nurse Practitioner and my husband is a photographer. I have enjoyed reading all the posts on here and love this site. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at some point. |

Gainesville/Alachua area 1 boy 3yrs old |
Oh thank you for the push
My name is Amanda, I just turned 30 and I have lived in Gainesville or Alachua all my life- except for a few years hiatus in Tampa. I would like to live in other places but I can't imagine living far from my family. I've been married almost 7 years and we have a 3 year old son, Colin. My husband is a Media Specialist for two alternative schools in Gainesville. I am a full time student at UF majoring in English with a minor in teaching. Ultimately I will get my Master's so I can be a Media Specialist too. I am really enjoying this site, it's become one of my regular stops |

Hi! My name is Michelle and I have lived in Gainesville most of my life. I decided to stay because I think it's a great place to raise a family. I am married to my husband James and we have a 17 month old daughter Ava. I've been a nurse at Shands for a little over 4 years. This is my first time ever posting but I thought I'd give it a try. I look forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome everyone.
Michelle, I found out after moving here to attend UF that Gainesville is a great place to raise a family. Now I can't imagine living anywhere else. My husband (who's a Seminole) would probably disagree. Joy, what an interesting event! I may try to make it out. |
