Wow! What a great idea and site. My husband and I just moved here with our three children, daughter 11, son 8 and another son who is 5. I am looking for a way for them to meet other kids before school starts (Kanapaha and Wiles).

Welcome.....this is a great site. You will have a chance to meet alot of great moms, kids and families. Check out the 'Gainesville Moms Events' and you will see all the different get togethers planned. Gainesville is a great town I am sure you will love it. I live about 40 miles west of Gainesville myself but make a trip to town about twice a month.

What is the Florida Virtual School? It sounds interesting.

Florida Virtual School is a totally online public Florida middle school and high school (with an elementary school on the horizon). Students take courses from home...in their own time and are taught (for free) by fully accredited Florida educators. You can check it out at www.flvs.net.

Do you work from home? Is the pay comparable to teaching in a regular classroom. I'm an elementary school teacher (relatively new to Florida) and I haven't heard of Florida Virtual School before. It's interesting. Thanks for the info.!
