Two boys, ages 3 and 1 |
Fourth of July is a great holiday for picnics. What would be in your ultimate picnic basket? Any recipes that make great outdoor eats?
We usually stick with the classics: hot dogs, veggies and dip, baked beans and lots of watermelon! |

when it comes to picnics, simplicity is key! its enough work lugging everything out, so you want to reduce down the basics as much as possible.

Along the lines of Nate's post, our 4th of July picnic menus have gone something like this:
- baked 'fried' chicken (dipped in egg and bread crumbs) - mac n' cheese - green salad w/lime or light dressing - kid beverage - adult beverage - store bought dessert (I don't bake) |
