I honestly need to re-vamp my eating habits. My problem is not that I over eat, I usually actually skip meals and it's probably not what I should be eating. I just don't know where to start. Any tips? I have four kids now that I need to be around for!

i'm learning about all of the negative effects of sugar. i'll try to post some articles later. because of this new diabetes thing, i'm really trying to get my daughter to see her way away from sugar as well. it really is not good for anyone! but it is so dang yummy!

It can drive you crazy, if you let it, paying attention to first one report that says "X" is unhealthy, and then two months later, a different report that says it IS healthy for you. Always new reports, always conflicting opinions. But I think the real key is everything in moderation. This is what works for me (when I apply it, LOL)! I've found that starving or denying myself something I really want just leads to a very cranky mommy. Same with exercise...what works best is simply, GET UP AND MOVE! Don't just sit around, which is hard to do anyway with kids. But, yeah, when you have a strong craving for something, I don't think it's wise to always deny that craving... it may be your body's way of telling you that you are low in some sort of vitamin or nutrient. Our bodies don't lie, we just have to learn how to listen.
