I used to spend time alone at the gym when I had a membership. I just realized that these days, I don't think I have too much me time. There is just so much going on. How do you guys take a break from life, for you?

It depends on if my wife will allow me to have time alone. When she does allow me this time it is usually after everyone has fallen asleep then the only thing to do is sit on the couch and watch infomercials or re-runs of C.S.I.

I get up before the kids, drink a cup of coffee and read the paper on the weekends. Lately - I can't get up before the kids... so - I lay in bed at night - with the tv on and watch WHAT I want to watch and lay there quietly - ALONE!!!

You mean that there is such a thing as "me" time?

ok, don't all jump on me at the same time...

i lay in the tanning bed two to three times a week during my lunch break for 20 minutes. I am completely alone, it is warm and tan fat is prettier than pasty white fat!!!

Oh trust me!!! I LOVE to tan too!!!!! I just have a hard time justifying the money for it..

I've been a gold member of tan usa for so long i still get a month of unlimited tanning for $25! so i'm spoiled and it doesn't cost very much!!

I love to tan too. I haven't gone this year, but my "me time" is when I go to the hair salon. My stylist talks alot, she takes her time (which some do not like), but I am usually there for two or three hours getting highlights and a cut. That is my time and I love it.

I think it is important to have "me" time, as does my hubby. We trade off each week. He usually goes and plays basketball or some sport one night a week and I have an evening out with my friends. We usually go sit at the coffee shop and talk for 2-3 hours without kids. It is great and is the refresher that I need each week.

Scrapping mom, you are able to do this once a week? Wow. I am envious. It is hard to find "me" time and "couple" time with kids around. I think my husband and I need to rework our routine. I realize that we barely find time for "us" let alone "me." And he needs it as much as I do.

It is so hard with kids!!! You MUST find "us" time to stay connected to your spouse - but you also must find "me" time to stay sane and be able to give everything your family needs and not be burned out or depressed or whatever other feeling you might be having!!!!

My time is my bike riding. I go every Monday for about 12 miles with a group of 4 or so. I love it!
