Is any one familar with Florida Kid Care? Does any one use it? If so, Which Dr. do you see? A friend is thinking about getting it and doesn't know the details such as dr's, etc. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks! |

i used it several years ago when i had a lapse in coverage when ex decided to cancel kids without my knowledge...nich huh? anyway, i had to "buy into" the program. at the time, i was around $100/month per kid. from what i understand, the program is full and not accepting anyone that does not qualify for the $15/month per family program. by best friend still has her kids on the buy in program and it works well for them. they see the same pediatrician they saw when they had "regular" insurance and i believe they use coast dental.

My sister uses it for her son. I know we both use the same doctor..Healthy Steps..Dr. Ana's office. From what she has told me there are quite a few doctors on it. I will see if I can get more info from her...I know she had some confusion when she was signing up because there are 2 different programs and they originally had her signed up for the wrong one.
