1 new baby boy |
Today my midwife, the famous Jane, diagnosed me with TOBP. She had the straightest face and my firs-time-mom paranoia had me dreading asking what I knew I had to. "What is that?" She calmly replies, "Tired Of Being Pregnant." Understanding, I say, "I think I have a serious case." She agrees. "It's normal--are you going to cry?" I am. I did...but I laughed too because she was adamant that it was a real dianosis to be cured only by Tylenol, long bubble baths, and time.

LOL..... I remember having the exact same thing!!! Hang in there girlie - I've always heard that happy, healthy babies are usually late babies.

ROFL!!! OMG!! I think most pregnant ladies feel that same diagnosis!
I hope your hubby is pampering you! (at least he better be after this new diagnosis). Safe hugz, Dee collegemomscafe.blogspot.com/ |

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but at least your wonderful midwife caught your condition in time and is able to prescribe you the proper treatment!

You made me chuckle Mary. I hadn't heard on TOBP...but I know with my second it felt like I was going to birth a toddler. Hang in there, and don't get too comfy in that bubble bath...you may not be able to get out (that's another experience talking)! When that baby finally comes, you'll be suffering from another syndrome...CGEOB....Can't get enough of baby

That's a good one! I am only 20 weeks pregnant with #2 but I think I am already suffering from TOBP...mainly b/c I am STILL throwing up every single day and have been since week 6! I was sick with my first but not this bad or for this long. If this sickness persists, I can only imagine how bad my TOBP will get in a few months when I am also big and uncomfortable and it miserably hot outside! I hope you don't have to suffer with it too much longer...though you probably want to be prepared that although you'll lose the "OBP", you'll likely retain the "T" in TOBP for a while after baby is born! But this too shall pass and it is so worth it
