CRIME!!! We've all experienced it. Women have that thing they do and I admit I've done my share. However, now that I am a mom (to be) I have experienced the most wonderful female support that I'm still in shock. I am a firm believer in the "girl's club" and all its unspoken rules: you don't befriend you girl's ex-boyfriend's new fling, you never take the husband's side when she vents to you, and of course you don't date her ex. I'm sure you all have more (I'd love to hear them) and while we are not always the perfect friend we all know there are certain things you just don't do. I am so proud to now be part of the inner-sanctum of the girl's club called 'mom's club' and I am constantly amazed at the shared love, advice, and support I witness even daily on this website. I commend you all for rejecting girl on girl crime and supporting eachother...it blesses me!

Yes, I agree, there is something about joining the ranks of motherhood that changes, well, everything. I was a member of my husband's family (dating, engaged, and finally married) for 10 years before my first child came along and while I knew I was loved and accepted by my step-children and my in-laws, when Big A was born, I suddenly felt...oh, I don't know...just MORE of what I had felt before. And also somehow that I was now on the inside, instead of the years I had spent feeling "on the outside looking in". Part of the club, just as you said. The Johnson and Johnson commercial was right, "having a baby changes everything". So much more than you could ever anticipate. I know my kids have created miracles in my family.

Congrats and many blessings to you, Mary, and always, always remember to treasure every moment, and don't forget the first time you look in your baby's eyes...you've just met the new love of your life!
