2 girls; ages 5 and 3 |
What age will/did you let your daughter wear a two piece? My girls are 5 and 3 and it seems like it's really hard to find swimsuits that aren't revealing.

my daughter has a 2 piece that was given to her by one of her friends. Even though I am not crazy about her having it, it isn't too bad. The top is like a sports bra stlye and the bottoms are more like boy shorts stlye.
When she out grows this one, I know she will want another, but I am not sure how we will handle that. I do know that it must be appropriate for a little girl. Nothing with strings to be tied or to "bikini" cut. Oh, she is 5 and is my only girl |

Boy 4.5 & Girl 2. |
I have a 1.5 year old that wears a very cute 2 piece. It is very age appropriate (Dora). I have seen a lot of very cute one pieces for girls Old Navy, Baby Gap, Gymboree and they are all on clearance right now-for less than you would pay in stores like Target/Walmart etc.

My daughter is eight, and she got a two-piece last year when she was 7. I don't really have a choice with her though. She's very long wasted, and the one-pieces actually show most of her chest. With a two-piece on I can get the rounded tops, or even the tank top, which covers most of her stomach, and the boy shorts. These cover most appropriately than the one-pieces I have seen lately that are dinky triangles at the top and high wasted at the hips, and have the full back out. It's all in the cut in my opinion, not if its one or two pieced. Find what you feel is an appropriate fit for your family.

The two pieces with the tank tops are very cute -- and seem quite age appropriate for almost any age!

I agree with wearing age appropriate two pieces. I know none of us want our little girls parading around in string bikinis!!! But there are alot of cute and appropriate suites out there. My daughter has two one pieces and one two piece. She usually wears the same one piece at home all the time, since it is already faded from the chlorine, and when we go somewhere else takes the two piece because it is the cutest one and fits her the best, (she is also long waisted).
Has anyone tried the suites that are supposed to be sun blockers?? I have looked at them a hundred times, even had one in my cart to buy one time but changed my mind ... if they really work I should get one for my daughter...she is very fair skinned. |

lancaster, kentucky 2 official children (daughter, 5yrs...son, 6 1/2 yrs) do my hubby and chihuahua count as children? |
my daughter is 5 and has a constant wedgie! this year i encouraged the 2 piece (the top is pretty much open in the back but covers all of her tummy in the front) because of the wedgies and the fact that she waits til the last possible second to tell me she has to go potty...she can hold it, but those 1 piece suits are complicated when they are wet!haha
