I used to love Scissor's, back in my trendy days before I had kids..hahaha. Actually, that was back when I could afford to keep up a cute, short haircut. These days, I'm a bit more practical. But it depends on what you are looking for.
I personally avoid the mall because of two really, really bad experiences. I mean, really bad, as in I ended up crying right there in the salon.

Let us know who you go with and how it turns out:-)
Mike at Hair Hunters (Hunter's Crossing Publix shopping center) has been doing my hair for the last 8 years and he's great. Very personable and easy to communicate my wishes to. Sometimes what I say and what the stylist hears is two different things - not so with Mike.

Haha...I remember those days...vaguely Oh and my hubby's aunt owns Scissors! Gainesville can be so small sometimes!
not really sure on this one. My mom is a licensed stylist so she does mine all the time and everyones hair at her job. She is absolutely great!! Not to mention she loves doing it so she doesn't charge an arm and a leg!!
I go to Charisma for hair on 39th (by Kazbor's, Blockbuster, Tires Plus). I see Sarah or Marshall and they have both given me good cuts. I used to go to the places in Publix centers (Great Clips and so on) but they change employees so often and I've gotten maybe one good hair cut out of ten. I've gone to Charisma ever since.
For a wash, cut and style it's $32. I never would have spent that much before but the service is well worth it.
I go to Escape Spa in the Haile Village. A little more expensive than some of the places I used to go -- but totally worth every penny. They shampoo your hair and give you a scalp massage for 15 minutes before your cut. Ahh, it's heaven!
i use jana at shear images on 43rd up sort of by weecycle.the number is 3523751572. she is great for me because i am willing to do (with my hair) pretty much whatever someone says is going to look good and she wont lie to me. i have a neice in wisconsin that is a cosmotologist (warning...i cant spell) and also a friend back in ky who is a cosmotologist. they can give me an idea of what will look good before i go too. yea, im one of those people who work alot off the suggestion of others. haha
I go to Mike at Hair Hunters too! He does do a great job, on both my hair and my hubby's hair. He actually saved me from a hair disaster once...I colored my hair one too many times and it came out a hideous color. I took a picture of my natural hair color to Mike and said, "Fix me". Within a few hours, my hair was back to my natural color and once I grew out, I've never colored it again
I've been to Charisma for Hair too and they are great as well.
