Whether you did or didn't, a new study shows that one healthy pregnancy can actually lower your blood pressure for years, possibly lasting until your firtborn enters college! How neat is that!

Did you enjoy being pregnant? I know some women love that "pregnant glow," but others have it pretty rough for nine months. What about you?

I loved being pregnant. It was nice, I was barley sick but then I was pretty far along when I found out. So my pregnancy seemed so short.

I loved every single second of it! I even loved the 'not so great things' like the blood draws and the 'full' check ups. I just loved the whole process of bringing a baby into this world and the wonder of everything my body could do. Even though some of the process is less than comfortable and not all that easy to go through, I sort of just became a part of it all and any inconveniences were not all that bothersome. Can you tell I loved being pg!! Wink

I miss being able to drink a beer and sleep on my stomach. I have this weird syatic nerve thing going on recently where my right leg will go numb and give out. I fell twice over the weekend and luckily I didn't hurt myself or the baby. and I don't like being super fat.

I do like feeling the baby flutters and kicks though and I'm not sick this time so that is a plus but I have high blood pressure during pregnancy not low so poor me.

I really enjoyed both of mine! W/ #1 I was so happy to be pregnant that I took every little feeling of illness etc. as a sign that he was really in there and growing! W/ #2 I felt great and was more relaxed and just enjoyed it. However, to this day, I am so happy when I can sleep on my stomach! That was the worst!

I very much enjoyed both of mine, even though I'm sure I complained my fair share at the time. But overall I felt great -- no major aches and pains or weight gain -- so that made the whole experience much more enjoyable!

I enjoyed that I was pregnant and had a baby growing inside of me. I loved that closeness.

But...I had severe morning sickness, to the point of losing 35 lbs and being unable to keep even water down. I was so miserable. I ended up having to leave my job because I was so weak and dizzy. I don't miss that at all!

If it wasn't for the sickness though, I'd be pregnant all the time.

I must be the odd mom out. I hate being pregnant! I go crazy, eat enough for 4, and gain soooo much weight. I love the day they are born though.

I didn't mind being pregnant. I didn't gain too much weight, was sick only in the mornings (mostly when I brushed my teeth) the first couple of months and didn't have any weird cravings. But my back, boobs, and feet hurt so much towards the end. And I never had that "nesting" instinct, so I actually left dirty dishes in the sink when I went to have Emma. Thankfully, DH washed them before I got home Smiler

It was a love/hate thing for me. I loved feeling my babies move and watching my belly grow. As far as the physical aspect of it, I never got terribly sick, but at the end was very uncomfortable and hated my meatloaf feet. I was also very hormonal which was no fun. After my third was born I remember loving not being pregnant anymore! I could actually bend over and do dishes in comfort!

I had one of each. With Macy I was fine, never sick one time, lost weight, great hair and skin, still slept on my tummy sort of but with a pillow propping me up so it only felt that way.

With Zane, still no sickness, lost more weight, good hair but skin not so much. I guess the depression really took the fun out of it for me and it wasn't helped by all the BS they put moms thru when you are over 40.

I did miss beer but I would have just half of one once in a while in the 3rd trimester....shhhh!

Meatloaf feet! That is GREAT!! When I was in the hospital with Hannah (both of my babies were C sections) they had pumped me with like 4 gallons of IV fluids. I don't think the foley cath was in right since they kept swearing I was dehydrated...I was not because all 4 gallons settled in my feet....7 days later it went down. I swear, I had loose skin on them. And that's what they felt like...Meatloafs!!! Only I never thought of that!

I actually didn't mind being pregnant. I did have some morning sickness in the beginning which was no fun, but my pregnancy was pretty smooth. I only gained 18 pounds, and I was still able to pretty much sleep how I wanted to. And I didn't have to worry about the beer thing because I don't even like it!

The only part of pregnancy that I didn't like too much was at the very end, about the last two weeks. I had severe itching all over my body. I know that probably sounds strange, but apparently is is a sideffect that some women have from pregnancy. I probably looked like I had something wrong with me because all I did was itch, itch, itch There wasn't a rash or anything, nothing there. It was pretty odd. But the doctors told me as soon as I had her it would go away, and they were right. The minute she popped out I stopped itching. I am just really hoping the same thing doesn't happen again. I always wonder, what if I itch for my entire pregnancy next time!? Ah!

WOW! I wish I could have enjoyed my pregnancy more. I was ecstatic to find out I was pregnant. However, it was like the worst 9 months of my life Frowner

First, I was absolutely set on having a girl, I know be happy with what God gives you and all that stuff. But my whole life I had dreamed about having a baby girl and naming her Audrey after Audrey Hepburn. Well when Dr. Marichal told me I was having a boy I cried, I cried for like a week or so then one day woke up and was like ok i'm having a boy. Now I enjoy him so much, he makes me laugh all the time and is so loving. Plus I'm into sports and he loves them so thats great.

Second, like Stacy I itched and itched and itched!!! The difference, I started itching when i was like 3 months prego and got hives and little red bumps all over, even in my scalp. It was HORRIBLE!!! I went to the dermatologist like almost weekly and to see Dr. Marichal frewuently. At the time he was also teaching a class at UF and said I was the perfect teaching case and took pictures of all my hives and bumps to show to his class. They aren't 100% sure what causes this it is called PUPPS(google it), I carried around a TUB of triamcinolone cream and was always rubbing it on. I didn't like going out in public b/c people would stare at me and why not I looked like some alien or something.

I had to have a c-section b/c being only 4'11" my hips were too small to deliver. I actually had no problems with the actual surgery but I did have an allergic reaction to morphine during the section. They had to give me two doses of benadryl and narcan to counteract it. So on top of the hives I already had popped up more hives. I looked like Rudolph, all our pics from the hospital I look pitiful. Not to mention that I gained 73 pounds and swelled like the blueberry girl on the chocolate factory movie, partially b/c of the IV fluids and allergic reation. At the end I couldn't even touch my hands together in front of my belly. And sinc eI had my son 5 years ago, I have had allergic reaction to almost every med my dr. has prescribed and allergies keep popping up. WEIRD!!!

All this and for some odd reason I want to get pregnant again. I have this hope that if I do it will be the most wonderful pregnancy ever. After going through all that what could be worse right?

I didn't have any noticeable bumps/hives, but I know what you mean about not wanting to go out in public. I felt like people were going to think I was crazy with all that itching. I can't believe you had to deal with it for so many months. You definitely had it rough. But I think it's pretty awesome that you want to do it all over again. I guess our beautiful babies make us forget the bad stuff.
