Anyone have chiropractic care during pregnancy? Do you recommend it?

I haven't had it personally but I have some who have and they said it helped them.

I never used a chiropracter, but I found a massage therapist certified in pregnancy massage and that helped a lot with my back pain. I knew several other women who did this in my birth class andthey all said it helped.

I've never been pregnant myself, but a friend of mine swore by a prenatal yoga class she took. I don't know if there are any places in Gainesville that offer that though...

My doctor recommended buying a maternity belt and I've been putting it off so far but I think it might be time to give it a try. Has anyone tried those?

I did try a maternity belt and it really did help a lot. It kind of eased the weight and the pressure of the baby. I loved it.

The one thing I did try (because I was given it as a gift) was having a Dula do some treatments postpartum.

Ayurvedic hot oil massage treatments and advice (where I got the fennel/fenugreek seed advice).

SOOOO worth it and very cheap. Their preferred run of events was too much for me at the time having already had an older child along with the new baby but normally they would insist on you being in a room closed off from everyone else while they massage and relax you, then they would suggest you bundle up in blankets/sheets (oils still on you)for a bit..to rest.. then a hot shower. OMG best couple hours of my life. I had them come out a few times.. I had so many postpartum problems I insisted my husband keep allowing the daily interruption LOOL I highly suggest the treatment.
