A new study suggests that pregnant women may want to reduce the amount of caffeine they consume -- or cut it out entirely. While another study says moderate amounts of caffeine didn't increase a woman's risk of miscarrying.

My doctor once told me that one cup per day was okay. Although, I admit that I feel guilty anyways because I know there is nothing good in caffeine for me or my baby. I am actually really struggling with this one right now. In fact, I just finished off a can of Mountain Dew - not good! I have been trying to drink more water, though.

Just my opinion, but I think in moderation, caffeine is okay. I have a cup of coffee in the morning. I didn't drink a whole lot of coffee the first trimester with this pregnancy because it made me sick, but now that I'm over the morning sickness, I enjoy my hot cup of coffee.
My friend's Dr. told her that an entire 2 liter of Coke in a day wouldn't hurt her baby. To me that seems excessive, but there are so many differing opinions out there! |

I think all in all you have to do what you feel is right for you and your baby. There are so many differing opinions, facts, and reports to help either side of the debate. That it's overwhelming to go through.
