Does anyone know what detergent is best to keep baby clothes from shrinking so fast?

I didn't know the clothes were shrinking, I thought the babies were growing that fast!! I don't know if it is the detergent or not, but I just make sure to wash them all in warm water (except bibs, those go hot) and not too long in the dryer.

I do know our son outgrew clothes in less than a month and sometimes it depends on the style, manufacturer, material and quality.

I use Dreft and I haven't noticed any of Maddox's clothes shrinking. He's still in newborns and is almost 2 1/2 months old.

I agree Michelle! They grow out of their clothes so fast! We always wash our clothes in cold water (towels, clothes, etc. go in hot) and use the detergent specifically designed for cold water. We haven't noticed much shrinking.

I have to agree with Stacy. It's not the detergent. Washing in hot water and drying on high heat is what shrinks the clothing. I wash my childrens' clothing on the cold/warm cycle and dry on medium or low heat. Hope this helps.
