My daughter gets a reward at the end of the week for having a good week at school, no time outs, good listening, remembering manners, etc. We usually go to the dollar store and she picks something and two days later she is over that toy! I began thinking "What can we get that she will want to play with over and over so it doesn't turn into a waste of money?" Board Games! What are YOUR favorites? What ones do YOU not care for at all? I want to make sure we pick the best ones for the family. I'm just as excited to go pick out one as she is! Right now she has her heart set on "Ants in the Pants" because the name is funny, but it's the only one I could think of at the time!

Oh wow we have tons...I will leave out the teen and grown up ones. I will list my three year olds favorites...Hi Ho Cherry O is probably top of the list...also she likes Candy Land(she has the Dora version), Lucky Ducks, Elefun and she has a Maize hard cardboard book that is about 5 different boardgames inside and she loves that one too. She also plays some games that the family likes...Trouble is a fav there..
Good luck game shopping...we have family game nights all the time. It's a great way to laugh and play together!! |

Well my daughter is still a bit young, but I can remember Don't Break the Ice and Pretty Pretty Princess from when I was young!

I just went and looked at the games and I forgot to mention Kerplunk! Thats the game where you fill the tube with marbles and then everyone takes turns pulling the sticks out that are holding the marbles up in the tube. Thats a winner for fun everytime! Stacy mentioned 'Don't Break the Ice' and that is a good one too.
