I have a friend whose baby is on the waiting list for upcoming students. Has anyone had an experience at this school? I was thinking about checking it out.

My nephew just finished fifth grade and my sis was trying to get him in. A bunch of the other parents were too...unfortunately only 1 from their class got in. My sis seemed to like the school though...but she said it was also pretty comparable to the other middles schools she checked out.

I have my kids on the list as well. When I spoke with the school, they told me it is no longer necessary to put a baby on the list, although they will accept them.
They used to do a first come first served type of enrollment, but now they use a "lottery" type of system. It makes it a bit more fair to those who move into the area to have a chance of getting their children in.

I have heard they are good for the lower grades. I heard they are kind of on the wild side in highschool (the kids). This was one person's perspective and she heard that 2nd hand. I have a friend that graduated from there in 1988. She was in town this week for her 20 yr. reunion. She said it was a great school. That was some years ago though!

PK has a great fine arts program for high school students. you ahve to try out. but if your child qualifies, i understand it bypasses the selection process. also, they have great baseball, softball and football. other areas might be good as well, but i've only had friends involved in those areas.
