How would you handle this if this happened at your church or if it was someone your child considered a hero?

although I don't agree or condone the lifestyle (God didn't make Adam and Steve), I can't judge them as a person or even a Christian. That will be God's place. However, as Christians, we should not "disown" or walk away either. After all, Jesus does love and accepts us unconditionally for who and what we are. If He can, should we not follow in His footsteps?

I don't really know what I think. Me, being heterosexual doesn't negatively effect how I raise my kids, do my job or live my life, and I don't think if someone else's sexual preference is different than mine that they will be horrible at the same things.
However I did grow up in a family that thinks it is all wrong and any difference in preference is not god's way.
Maybe the guy in the article will lead a lot of people to god and help them in many other ways to a relationship with god. Who knows? Should he be condemned from spreading the word of god just because he is gay? I am not convinced he should be banned from his job because of it.

I am not a person that would not speak to or be cruel to someone just because of their sexual preference. However, the Bible clearly states in Romans chapter 1 beginning in verse 24 and again in Leviticus 18:22 that homosexuality is wrong. I have as of yet had someone provide me with scripture that says otherwise. I do not judge or condemn...that is Gods to do. I will pray for this man as he is being deceived. At our church we would not lock someone out or ask them to leave if they were gay, but we would also know that they were not saved. You cannot be "born again" and be openly doing what God CLEARLY says is wrong.
