What did you see? What did you love/hate? What do you still want to see and what can wait til DVD?

We saw "Benjamin Button" and it was pretty good. Interesting despite being a little strange. I liked that it was a new idea and they did a great job with the makeup and costume and computer work making Brad Pitt look younger. My only complaint was that it was incredibly long.

Wanted to see "Marley and Me" and "Seven Pounds" but heard they were sad. Can't wait to see "X Men-Origins!"

I would love to see all of those. I don't really like Brad Pitt but the movie looks pretty good.

I haven't seen Marley and Me but if it's anything like the book you need a big ole box of tissues.

Seven Pounds looks good too.

I really want to see "Benjamin Button" and "Marley and Me." They look really good! Now, it's just a matter of finding a free night and a babysitter. There was also another movie coming out. I think it was "Bride Wars." I really want to see that, too, but I doubt hubby will. Maybe we could have a movie night!

Seven Pounds was great and that is all I'll say about it.

The guy on GMA ruined the ending of Marley and Me for me the other day so I'll wait for it to come on DVD and get it thru Netflix.

I really can't say there are any more I can't wait for DVD for.

We watched Seven Pounds at home a couple of weeks ago and I was glad it was at home because it was one of those movies that didn't hold my full attention so I kept hitting pause and coming back. All I can say about it is that it wasn't what I anticipated, although the previews were so generic I am not sure what I anticipated. I just get frustrated with movies I figure out the ending to within 15 minutes of them starting.

I think Bride Wars would be a good one to get a bunch of girlfriends together, make some girly drinks and have a great time watching. Big Grin

I really want to see the two new Kate Winslet movies. One is called the Reader and I cannot remember the name of the other one. They both look good. I am a huge fan of her!

Michelle, how did you watch it at home?

Lew, I haven't seen the previews for those. I'll have to look it up.

I would love, love, love a movie night! Robert won't watch movies with me. Frowner

I want to see the new Brad flick and Jennifer flick. But we rarely have the time. Plus we still have movies at home that we never seem to watch. Some are still in the wrapping.

I really want to see Seven Pounds but again like most of you, time, money, a babysitter and with me a date, is my problem.

Have you of you heard about the new Mater dose Japan or somthing like that. I thought I saw a preview before Christmas but I haven't heard anything else about it.

I hear you Elizabeth.

The only people that can watch Max live an hour away, so he can only go over night. Lately he's been having problems sleeping at other people's houses so even that is not an option right now. I really miss being able to go out wiht my husband once in a while.

It takes so much to get a babysitter. We always just say forget it it is not worth the trouble most times.

Although I'd love to go to the movies, we haven't in awhile bc it takes time, effort, and money. We usually rent movies and enjoy the comfort of our home Smiler. We just watched Eagle Eye and it was pretty good. I'm usually the comedy/drama/chic flick type and it was an action/suspense movie, but I really enjoyed it.
I think a girls' movie night is a great idea though! Bride Wars would be fun.

Amy/dragonflyfaith - I have a secret way to watch movies at home while they are still in theaters or sometimes even ahead of that....shhh! I can't share the details, and its not nearly as clandestine as you might think. I will say my hubby works for a company that sells, designs (his job) and installs custom home theaters and they have 'contacts'. Wink

I can relate to you guys with no one to watch the kids nearby - all of my family live in the G'ville area still so that's quite a drive! Big Grin

I would def go for a chick flick movie night. Hubby would love to watch the baby if it gets him out of "Bride Wars!"

Maybe we should just do it at Michelle's house it seems...

LOL!
