She will be a guest co-host on the show at 11 am tomorrow the 18th if anyone is interested. I'm sure she will be asked about some of the controversial comments she has made but the show is rather liberal so I think she'll be well-received. In any case it could be interesting.

ok, so now that she is putting herself on national television, is she still "off limits"?

We need to watch...I am going to tivo it cause I have errands to run tomorrow morning. Even though I don't usually watch The View I think she bears watching. She 'worries' me.

And YES.....I believe as of tomorrow she is no longer off limits. No other 1st lady was ever claimed to be 'off limits'!!

I think it's very sad how television shows/stars are as bad as newspapers and news casts...trying so hard to elect our next president for us. There was a time when the media was ABOVE that; they actually thought we were bright enough to form our own conclusions and pick our own leaders.

I turned off The View years ago when it started campaigning for John Kerry. I also noticed that the ONLY time the show ever had a conservative guest on was when it wanted to rake him over the coals.

Michele Obama deserves no free pass, but she'll get one on The View. Had John McCain's wife sat in a racist church that spewed hate in the name of "social justice" for twenty years and was personal friends with the Rev Wright, the press (and shows like The View) would have crucified her...and rightfully so.

The View would be a much more credible show if it had a more balanced show instead of having the token conservative (and the youngest of the group) there as a punching bag to appease anyone right of far leftSmiler.

I am curious to see how Elizabeth (the young one) responds to her. Elizabeth is very much, all the way, conservative republican!
And when you put yourself on national television for all to see, in my opinion, that makes you no longer "off limits."

I find it insulting as a woman that talk shows feel the need to make it a big drama to appeal to a female audiance. I prefer shows where very smart questions are asked of the guests and the audiance is left to draw their own conclusions. I can do w/o the fluffy filler and giggling..and staged fights for the sake of ratings.

I wouldn't watch The View if they paid me to (and I need the money, believe me LOL) I can't stand that Joy woman. Frankly I don't think I'd be able to hold my tongue if I ever met her in public. Like McInnesMom, I stopped watching when they campaigned for Kerry. And it really irritates me when they ask someone a question, then don't shut their mouths long enough to let them answer. That is one of my pet peeves. I hate someone interrupting me when I'm answering the question they just asked me!!! I get on to my kids for that all the time.

I watched it with a 3 year old over my shoulder and spooning applesauce into her mouth so I will re-watch later to see if I missed anything. My take is no drama...no cat fighting. I did like that Elizabeth took a moment to be sure everyone knew that she could be cordial and still be very much herself. It seems Michelle was very careful. I know there are lots of things she would have loved to have said but simply could not without jeopardizing the election. It seemed very rehearsed to me.

I do not think the questions were challenging. I would have liked to have heard them ask about where she stands on some of the issues-especially woman’s issues as well as family issues. She came across very well spoken, poised and looked beautiful. I thought some of Goldberg's comments (not questions…just general comments) were inappropriate and in poor taste. Overall, I think she handled the show w/ grace and dignity. The questions were very controversy free-w/ the exception of the first one.

i only saw clips of it but i just love the fact that she tried to align herself with Laura Bush. saying that she admired her the way she has handled herself while representing the country.

sorry, she will never be a Laura Bush in my opinion. Laura Bush would never have attended a church that privately or publically allowed sermons like Rev. Wright preached. Laura Bush = 100% class.

I did not get to watch it because I fell asleep LOL but I will watch parts of the youtube if I get time. I agree that Joy is very overbearing and inconsiderate and actually miss Star Jones because she is bold and intelligent and was able to stand up to her. Elizabeth does try but is not as quick as Star. Plus I think she does not get as much respect because of her age and her looks. I like her though.
