I just started reading "Twilight" and I just wanted to share that it is awesome. I don't know why this book is slung as a "teen" read. Every female I know, young and old, is or has read this book. A close friend of mine who is almost forty has read the entire series and she is beside herself now that she's finished it.
I am an English major at UF with a focus on Children's Literature, so I have a lot of required reading. I treated myself to Twilight- I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good read. Just thought I'd share

A circle of friends at work and I share books we buy...very casual and no pressure. Here are some of the titles they recommended that I absolutely loved:

"The Kite Runner," Khaled Hosseini: a beautifully-written book. You won't be able to put it down.
"The Glass Castle: A Memoir," Jeanette Walls: a young woman survives her eccentric upbringing.
"The Time Traveler's Wife," Audrey Niffenegger: a love story like you've never read before.

And from my all-time favorites:

"Pride & Prejudice," Jane Austen: my favorite classic and the best Mr. Darcy.
