Here we go!

I’ve never been out of the country.
I tore my hamstring playing badmitton.
I have a sister & two brothers… My sister is 16 years younger than me & my brothers are 4 & 6 years older.
I have two dogs & two cats (all of which were rescued).
    I’m 5’2” & my husband is 6’7".
My son was delivered by Jane Houston (the most amazing mid-wife ever!!).
I am currently a property insurance underwriter.
My husband is mostly a SAHD (but works at nights as much as he can).
    I’ve never broken a bone.
My son’s name is Caddock, which is Welsh & means “eager for war.”
I was deadest against marriage &/or children until my husband & I got together.
I’ve been shot in the eye with a bottle rocket.
    I love grindcore death-metal.
I’m hoping to get into the RN program at SFC in the fall of 2009.
I hate sports (but will be at every game if my son decides he wants to play!).
    I loved being pregnant.
My husband & I met 5 years (or so?) before we got together (& then didn’t see each other again for that 5 years until we ran into each other by chance).
I’m legally blind without my contacts.
    I love to paint.
I hope to get out Florida as soon as I’m done with school (I want mountains, seasons, & snow!).

I can't believe you have been shot in the eye with a bottle rocket! Ouch! My sister and I are pretty far apart in age, too. She is 11 years older than me.

I saw your picture on the slide for Mom of the week and noticed that I know your hubby. Well sorta. My husband and I have chatted with him a few times when renting movies. We have a daughter who is 17 months so your hubby has told us about your little one. Congrats on being Mommy of the week! Just thought I'd share that and say hi! Smiler

aimee - I too am 5'2" and used to date a guy who was 6'7" - it was so funny to watch peoples faces when they saw us!! Death metal huh? So I am not the only headbanger here, good to know! I am not quite a death metal fan, but still glad to know there are other moms out there who don't all listen to "easy listening"... no offense to those who do mind you! Big Grin

Ouch! My FIL shot his left eye with a pellet gun when he was 13 and is blind in that eye.

My husband is just 6'4" but I had an uncle that was a little taller than your husband. Gotta love those tall, tall men!

I can't imagine how much it must have hurt to tear your hamstring!

Ha! That's funny that you know my husband from the video store ViaVilla!

As far as my husband's height... No, he's not a basketball player (he shares my dislike of sports)! And yes, I think people sometimes give us a 2nd look when they see us together. I'm constantly standing on furniture to give him hugs & stuff. Smiler

Re: the bottle rocket incident... I was wearing hard contacts at the time, which I think might have saved my site. It shattered the contact, I spent the night in the hospital, & I had to wear a patch for awhile. Fortunately, it didn't do any permanent damage though! I lucked out there!

I also have a sister and two brothers -- one brother 5 years younger, then my sister is 15 years younger and then another brother 17 years younger than me.

And the bottle rocket incident sounds like something both of my borhters have done!

The bottle rocket incident was actually caused by some "boys." I was in my early 20's & my roommates & I threw a New Years party & had a huge bonfire. Some of our guy friends were being (drunk &) stupid & throwing fireworks into the fire... I was playing it safe & was well away from the fire, putting a bottle rocket into a bottle to shoot it away from all the people when "bam!" one came outta the fire, shot across the yard, & hit me right in the eye! What’s the likelihood of that? Of all the places it could've gone, it went into my eye.
