Hey moms! There isn't a mom of the week this week, but I thought we could learn more about eachother anyway! Everyone is welcome to answer these questions:

1. What is your favorite ice cream?
2. Would you prefer to vacation in a log cabin in the mountains or in a beach house on a tropical island?
3. What is your favorite store to shop at?

Here are my answers:

1. Mint chocolate chip with gummy bears on top, hands down (I know it sounds odd, but it is really good!)
2. While a romantic vacation with hubby in the mountains sounds wonderful, I'd have to pick an island vacation. I love the beach and how relaxed it makes me feel.
3. Well, if I am being practical, I have to say Target. I go there for most everything. But deep down, I love the Loft. I don't go there too much, but the do have some awesome sales once in a while!

1. Neopolitan. I'm so indecisive in general, and this way I can have three flavors without having to narrow it down! Oh, and the strawberry has to have NO chunks. Gross.
2. Tropical island for sure.
3. I agree about Target! I'm glad I don't live very close or else it could be dangerous. I also love Costco (but there are none nearby so I'm safe). Does Ebay count?

1. I don't eat ice cream except on very rare occasions since it makes me feel sick to my stomach. I don't know why cause I drink milk so I'm not intollerant. If I ever do, it's strawberry shortcake concoction from Coldstone.

2. Definitely the beach. I hate to be cold and love moonlit walks in the sand...hand in hand...with my man...

3. Publix. I love to cook and really enjoy grocery shopping although I can rack up quite a bill there very quickly.

Hmmm ...

1. Cookies and cream. Definitely.
2. I was tempted to say the beach at first, but the more I think about it a nice secluded mountain cabin with lots of hiking trails sounds great!
3. I do live down the street from Target and it is evil. So, of course, it's my favorite place to shop. You can get toothpaste, diapers, jewelry, clothes, video games and more all in one place -- that's hard to beat.

1. Anything with peanut butter in it!
2. Gotta go with the tropical island...I'd do the cabin with the family, but with the spouse I'd rather have the beach!
3. My favorite everyday store to shop at is Publix. I do love Banana Republic for their accessories and JC Pennies for their good deals on Men's and Woman's business clothing.

1. What is your favorite ice cream? I would have to say Moose Tracks. It has peanut butter cups and caramel. Yum!
2. Would you prefer to vacation in a log cabin in the mountains or in a beach house on a tropical island? I would have to say a beach house on a tropical island.
3. What is your favorite store to shop at? I have to agree with Target! I love Target, especially shopping the clearance shelves! Besides Target, I LOVE Old Navy for clothing.

Mine:
1. Chocolate. But at Cold Stone, I like cinnamon ice cream with pralines.
2. Island, hands down.
3. Used to be Target, but I have been to Kohl's a few times and I have to say that I really like that store.

I'd also like to add another question:

What is the strangest thing you have ever eaten?

Mine is a corned beef (like the canned kind) and pineapple sandwich with mayonnaise.

Okay, here's mine!

Fav Ice cream: chocolate w/marshmallow swirl (Ben and Jerry's Phish Food is acceptable as a substitute)

Beach vs Mountains:...hmm, I live at the beach now and never go, but I would be terrified of the drive into the mountains and all the bugs too, sooooo..... I am gonna go with a cruise, even tho that wasn't an option. Big Grin

Fav Store: well as for shopping in now, I think the majority of my time and $$ is spent at Publix as I also LOVE to cook and eat well. Now mind you, if money were no object, I think the answer might be Williams Sonoma or the equivalent (if there is one!)

Strangest thing ever eaten: according to my hubby, any and all veggies as he refuses to get near them...lol BUT I guess maybe my more tame/strange thing would be tuna (like canned) with BBQ sauce as a hot sammich, or tuna mixed with ranch dressing and eaten with tortilla chips. I dont think they are strange but when I tell anyone I like it, they give me strange looks. My more unusual/strange thing, fried rattlesnake, bear burgers and BBQ Elk rank right up there.

1. I am not an ice cream fan. I probably could count on one hand how often I eat it in a year. I prefer frozen yogurt, or gelato. I like fruit flavors the best!

2.Both would make me happy. I have to pick one, so I guess Beach.

3. Depends on what I need, faves are;

Groceries=Fresh Market
Household Furnishings=Pottery Barn
Work Clothes=Ann Taylor
Casual Clothes=Bananna Republic
Kids Clothes=Baby Gap
Daily supplies=Target
Shoes=Zappos
KItchen=Williams_Sonoma

1. I have to agree with Michelle. My fav ice cream is soft serve chocolate with marshmallows, and phish food.

2. Am I the only one who chooses the mountains without a second thought? I don't care for the beach so much, but I love going to the beach when I go on cruises.

3. Being from Lake City, the only store here pretty much is Wal-Mart. (If you've ever been here, you know what I mean...). When I go to Gainesville, though, I always make sure I stop by Target. That has to be my fav as well...especially the clearance!

4. I am really picky about what I eat, so even when I was pregnant, the wierdest thing I ever ate, even though it's no weird, was for about 2 months straight, I alternated eating the complete filling of a whole dutch apple and pumpkin pies from Publix for my lunch break. (I worked across from a Publix, so it was convenient). I am just glad me cravings came when I was pregnant in the Fall! Big Grin

1. Its hard to pick one...but Haagen Daaz blueberry cheesecake is amazing.

2. Well being from MN I have stayed in plenty of log cabins, so I would say the beach.
It never loses its novelty for me.

3. My favorite store is Anthropologie...now, I can't really afford to shop there so I find their stuff on ebay or on clearance. I love Target also, but always go to Walmart since it takes me 30 min to get there.

4. My mom always made us peanut butter and pickle sandwiches, I still eat them, they are really good.

Stacy, what ever made you put gummy bears on mint chocolate chip ice cream?

1. Favorite ice cream? Hands down -- Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia, very close second is their Phish Food.

2. Definitely a mountain retreat. I've lived in Florida all my life and the beach is not exactly my favorite place to go (something about that gross feeling of sunscreen and sand!); love going to the Lakes though!

3. Favorite store? Michael's or Hobby Lobby!

4. Strangest thing ever eaten? Probably BBQ Goat (it's pretty tasty). I eat a lot of things that people consider strange/different, and have since I was a little kid. When you have a Mom who is a gourmet cook you don't exactly grow up eating Chef Boyardee!

Strangest thing I've ever eaten: unagi, aka sea urchin. What can I say ... I got very daring one night when I was eating sushi with my girlfriends. I really didn't like it that much though.
