I can relate to the name issues too. We had it narrowed down to two first names and since our son arrived early, I told Daddy they were letting us out of the hospital and to decide which first name on his way to get us!!

I got to pick his middle name and actually did so as soon as we confirmed he was a boy. His middle name? Black Sabbath. Daddy picked Zane for the first name.

Yea!!! I had Jane too and she was/is amazing!!! Don't you hope to have all your kids with her? All the midwives in her group are amazing though.

My question: What brings you to Gainesville? What do you love/hate about it?

Black Sabbath is definitely unique! Have you had anyone give you a hard time about that?

My parents moved here from TX when I was 10. I've actually wanted to leave Gainesville since I graduated from high school but one thing or another always seems to keep me here. One big thing was my little sister b/c I didn't want to miss out on her growing up. She's almost done with high school now though so I'm thinking when I'm done with school myself that we may try to get outta here finally. It's not that we think Gainesville is a terrible place... It's just that both my husband & I have been here most of our lives. We want a change & both want to live somewhere with mountains & seasons. I love cold weather & just don't think Florida's for me!

Almost forgot! Yes! If we decide to have another baby we so want Jane to deliver him/her! We've actually talked about how we can't leave Gainesville until we decide whether or not there will be a #2!

I have to paraphrase Penn Gillette here on the middle name thing. Middle names are kind of like a 6th toe on one foot; not many people know about it, its kind of useless but it does make you a little different and the people who do know about it are the important ones. (His daughter's name is Moxie Crimefighter Gillette)

That said, oh yeah. My family has had plenty to say but I just remind them it was not their choice to make nor was it my intent to please them. My Nana actually told me she will simply pretend he does not have a middle name - and I told her that was her choice to make, didn't change anything about his life at all.
