Hi everyone! I'm planning my wedding for Sept 2009 here in Gainesville. I'm moving to Phoenix in November and trying to get as much planning does as possible before I move.
Anyone recommend a photographer? I want mostly photo-journalistic pictures and a few requisite posed pictures. I don't really know where to start other than Googling Gainesville wedding photographers, so I though I'd ask. Thanks! Rachel |

I don't know about a wedding photographer specifically, but I recently had a maternity photo shoot with Jamie who owns jls photography. It was a great experience and reasonably priced. Her website is jlsphotographystudio. Jamie is really good about replying quickly to emails and working with her clients.

My sister got married last year and she used Live Eye Photography. They did an awesome job and I think her wedding photos are still on their website. Very affordable and their is no time limit like some other photographers who will only give you 4 hrs per package. Their website is www.liveeyephoto.com

Congrats on your wedding. Looks like you may have found someone, but I'll throw another name out there. GalleyK (used to be KOR Photography) did our wedding photographs at Sweetwater Branch Inn. They turned out great! They're a really nice couple as well. Isn't it amazing how many great photographers we have in this town?

KOR photo is now K-Gallery; www.k-gallery.com. They did my wedding and I have to say that not only are they great photographers, but they are fun to be around. They put you at ease, and it's very easy to smile around them. We did very few "posed" portraits, so I was able to spend more time with my friends and family!

I have hired JS Photography for my wedding, they have done several of my friends weddings including one where I the maid of honor. All the local vendors refer them too, those are the best people to ask for reference.

I also have used JS Photo over and over again! They have done my engagement pictures, and maternity pictures for both of my pregnancies and the "watch me grow" photo albums! I highly recommend them to anyone that asks, they are very friendly and nice! My family and I have been using them for 3 years now, and I wouldn't change them for anyone else!
