What do you kow about 4H? I don't know much about it. Anyone care to tell me what you think and what information you have about it?

My cousins, younger brother and I all went to a very small high school in a very rural area. We had a 4H Club, and all four of my cousins participated in it. They LOVED it and learned so much. My brother and I enjoyed it by extension because they were always raising some kind of animal and it was fun to watch them raise, take care of, show, and finally sell the animals. I actually didn't know if 4H existed anymore, so I think it's pretty cool to see someone asking about it. HTH.

Thanks Suzy! I am putting that on my calendar. That event will also earn one of my son's belt loops for cub scouts.

4H is alive and well. There are many chapters in our area. The web site is www.4HUSA.org

I know of chapters in Alachua, High Springs, Newberry, Archer and Trenton. The Alachua County Fair and Livestock Show is coming up I believe in March. Our family, not mine immediately this year, has 4 hogs showing.

It is a great program that we will continue to support long after our children are all grown up.
