My kids, grades 1st and 3rd, seem to be bickering a lot more lately, about anything and everything. It is so, so frustrating! As the kids get older, it seems to be more of a problem so I really need some advice on this subject.

my kids are 14 and 9 and if you were watching through the window, you would think they hate each other. but this evening, my faith was restored, for the moment anyway. dod and i had not had five minutes alone in forever so i went to see him at work for a little while, by myself! daughter is not feeling well and to be honest, i was nervous about leaving them alone, but joy of all joys, son, who is younger, made her a pb&j, got her whatever she wanted to drink and even took care of her dog while she rested. they do love each other, they really really do....

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "Honor thy father and thy mother," she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"
Without missing a beat, one little boy answered, "Thou shall not kill."

With all of that, all I can say is GOOD LUCK! Children will bicker about nothing and EVERYTHING like you said and then they eventually grow out of it and get along, and think about the good ol' days.
