Gainesville 4: Boy (10), Girl (7), Boy (23 months), Boy (3 months) |
What in the world is going on? I am hearing about more and more violence among the youth, but with girls as well. The attorney for the girls who did the beating is saying that the girls, at ages 10 and 11, are too young to emotionally understand what they did, and so that they should not be prosecuted. What would you want to see happen if these were your kids, on either side?
They broke the girl's hip! They stomped her in the head! I don't think that a simple grounding would ever do. http://www.mcall.com/news/nationworld/state/all-playgro...-cnap,0,246482.story |

Ok, my first question: Where in the world were the parents?? 10 & 11 may be old enough for a bit of freedom, but you know what, my 7 year old knows better. She would NEVER do anything like that. Juvenile Hall is a wonderful place for these children IMHO. I also feel that child services should be brought in to look at the home situations of these two children. At age 10 & 11, most likely parenting does play a big part in the actions of these girls.
