Hey moms!
Do you have a child who would love to see the Globetrotters in person? All you have to do is register (if you are not already registered on the site), and send in a favorite basketball picture or story. For example, maybe you have a cute picture of your kid playing basketball. Or maybe you have a favorite memory of your child playing basketball.

That's it. The winner gets two tickets to see the Globetrotters, 7 p.m. on Feb. 27.

You can leave your stories as comments right here. Or simply tell me why you want the tickets. You can upload your photos by clicking on photos and following the prompts. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them here as well.

Contest Rules:
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of The Gainesville Sun, their immediate families, and independent contractors and carriers are ineligible to participate. Prizes to minors must be accepted by parent or guardian. All state and local taxes are responsibility of winner. Decisions of judges final. Odds of winning depend upon number of entries. Entering GainesvilleMoms.com contests constitutes contestant’s acceptance of all rules and permission by the contestant for his/her name and photograph to be used at no charge for reasonable news and promotional purposes. Contest winners will be contacted by e-mail.

Actually, I do have a really cute story (no pics though Frowner When my daughter Caeli was about 3 we went to the South Florida Fair. She kept asking me over and over if she could play the basketball game they had. I kept telling her no, no one ever wins those honey, it's a waste of money 5 bucks for 3 balls!) The girl who was working it hears us and says, Look let her play and I will give her a prize even if she doesn't make it in....Caeli hears this and is now looking at me with that PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE! look. So, I say fine and hand over my 5 bucks....well....my little one proceeds to make not 1, not 2, but ALL 3 baskets!! And not even in the basket in front of her!! She made it into 2 different baskets! She was so proud! The girl working (and myself) were totally floored. And Caeli also got her prize! She is 7 now and still loves to hear the story!

Well, my 2 younger kids don't play basketball, but oldest does. I don't get to see him often enough since he lives with his dad. None of them are on a team, but they all enjoy playing for fun. So I will tell why I would like the tickets.

Right now, although I am married, my husband works out of town, so it's just me and the kids. I work and go to school (I went back to school this year). On the weekends, I spend as much time as I can with my kids.

I love to expose my kids to as much as I can. I feel the more things I can expose them to, the more things they have to dream about becoming or doing when they grow up. They have never been to a professional game before, so it would be a treat that I normally can't do. Not to mention how much fun it would be!

Okay, guys, we only have two people entered which means their odds (and yours, if you enter) are REALLY good. Just another reminder, the winner will be announced tomorrow after 5 p.m.

Well, I think I have figured out that you moms like the gift cards -- Starbucks, Target, DaySpas. Since only two people entered this contest, I literally flipped a coin and bishop96 is the winner. Congrats! But, don't worry, there will be more contests to come. A very special thank you to myspiritwithin for playingSmiler

Bishop96, I will send you an email with the details of the ticket pickup information.
