One of my sister's favorite stores, Weecycle and The Babies Room, is hosting a Back to School Bash this Saturday. She gave me a flyer she found while shopping at the store and it says that there will be giveaways like car seats, stollers, diaper bags and more plus bounce house, food and a bake sale. I've never been to Weecycle but it sounds like it's worth the trip. FYI:Saturday Aug 9th from 10am to 2pm, 5110 Northwest 34th Street in Gainesville, across from the YMCA. 378-8898. Maybe I will meet some other moms to be there!

I believe they're also doing a garage sale for charity on Sunday morning -- what a big weekend for them! It's from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and benefits Safe Kids and Tools for Schools.

Stephen C. O'Connell Center is hosting Back to School Rally.
Students in Kindergarten to 12th grade and their families are all invited out to the 9th Annual Stop the Violence Rally at the O'Connell Center. Be sure to get there early because the first 1,000 children will receive free backpacks and school supplies. |
