Casting Call for “BIRTH”

Auditions for the Gainesville September 2008 benefit production of Karen Brody’s critically-acclaimed play “Birth”, will be held:

When: Saturday, July 26th from 2-5 p.m.
Where: Baha’i Center, 4451 NW 19th St., Gainesville, FL (View directions).

Auditions are open to all who are interested--no previous theatre experience necessary! Roles are available for eight adult women. There are roles specified for one African-American woman and one Latina woman; but we would like to have as diverse a cast as possible, representing various races, ages, body types, and life experiences. No prepared scenes or monologues; materials will be provided at the auditions. Dress comfortably, in clothing that you can move around in easily. Also, please bring (or be prepared to provide) as detailed a schedule as possible of your availability from July 27th through September 30th.
