We need a good kids' dentist. Right now, my kids are seeing one who sees mostly adults. I would love to find someone that is great with kids and has a kid-friendly clinic...

I take my kids to Dr. Hank Silverman in the millhopper area. I like him and the staff is really great with the kids. They see only children.

What do you think is a good age to start going to the DMD? We brush at home but is that enough at 2?

When I called around to dentists, they said they usually start seeing then around 3. The reason is because they need to be able to open their mouths well enough and long enough for the dental exam. And also they have to be able to sit still and be mature enough to co-operate with the dentist, which we all know is hard for toddlers to do sometimes. Also the younger the child, the smaller the mouth to work in. Wink
