Companies around here are certainly going more "green". One of the automotive plants here in Indiana is advertising zero landfill waste and an animal reserve on site.
On the one hand, who can deny that these companies are looking to boost their profits. I don't see how anyone could think that these companies are going green soley to help the environment. Companies look out for their pocketbooks, plain and simple. That being said, I think it is wonderful that all of these companies are going green. That is, if they are truly taking steps to reduce waste and use alternative energy etc. As the article implies, at times these companies seem to be more concerned with touting themselves as green than doing what's best for the environment. |
