I heard that some cities were going to 4-day work weeks due to the cost of gas.

Hawthorne 3 wonderful kids! step-son (17) son (8) girl (5) |
I heard about that too Suzy.
My kids are not doing any sports, even though my daughter wants to be in cheerleading and my son wants to do baseball this next year. I just can't afford the "at least" $75 in sign up fees, plus the gas for practices, games, etc. Not to mention where in the world am I going to find the time to fit in in? We would be eating out more often because of not being home to fix meals too. I just can't do it. Right now the only extra activities my kids can do are scouts and 4H because they are relatively cheap compared to the other options. I might squeeze in karate for them, but that is because it is here in Hawthorne and they only charge $30 per month per child. I have to wait and see on that though. But on all other things we have cut back on groceries, driving around for fun things, etc. Now all the things we used to do more are "special treats" Tammy |
