Hello! I'm a mother of 2; a daughter Jordan who's 7 and a son Gavyn who's 2 1/2. My husband grew up in Gainesville and still has quite a bit of family there. We're hoping to move back as we just love the area and are sick to death of the snow here in the north. My husband currently works as an IT Manager at a small business but wouldn't mind taking a step back and being more "hands on". He's been looking at jobs with both UF and Sage. He is qualified for the couple of positions that he's applied for, but we are afraid that nobody is looking at his qualifications because we live in Indiana. We don't necessarily need relocation costs covered though. So, I am hoping that maybe someone reading this will be willing to take a look at his resume. We would sure be eternally grateful for any help you can give us. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the advise softballmom! I really appreciate it. My husband and I have been trying to figure out how to word his cover letter tactfully. Your wording just may work. Thanks again.

I talked to my hubby (he is an IT manager here in town) and he said to check with Medical Manager (WebMD) in Alachua..they are usually hiring. He also said the UF is in a hiring freeze so it might be hard to get in over there. You can also check James Moore and Company...I had a friend who worked there in IT to....I asked him to keep his eye out for you Smiler

I'll let you know if I hear of any other openings. Do you guys have to sell your home to move to Gainesville?

No. Hubby will be moving down to Gainesville regardless. We'll make provisions to sell the home while he works there.
