Boy 4.5 & Girl 2. |
I was at a meeting for work this week and someone said they always try to spend more time making people feel good about themselves vs. trying to make people feel good about them. I heard this once before and totally agree! Think about the people you like/admire/respect. They probably do not try to impress you, they probably just make you feel good about yourself right?
What is the best life advice you ever received? |

Yes...I have heard this many times too. Its amazing how we seem to "reach-out" and help those then oursleves. It must be the women nature in us.
The best advise I've ever received is first to learn to love and accept yourself, before giving it out to others. What good is it to give to others when you can't do it for yourslf. This message has been edited. Last edited by: deebird611, |

I've been thinking about this, trying to think of something memorable that I've been taught throughout the years, but I always seem to go to the old standbys: "Always try your hardest," "Treat others as you would want to be treated," "It's not what's outside that counts, it's what inside."
Those inspirational lessons are repeated time and time again because they are true, and I've seen them play out in my life over and over again. |

"Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent." That saying (piece of advice) has always stuck with me.
The "Do unto others" one is also great. When I am debating how to handle something, I think of that one, along with 'WWJD." Taking the time to ponder before acting usually provides for the best possible outcome. |
