Has anyone else read this article? A women is accused of poisoning her already sick son with salt. In fact, his original medical problems may have even been caused by her as well.

Sounds like she is using "I'm suffering from post partum depression" as an excuse to do something appalling. If she knows she is suffering from it why doesn't she get help?? I know post partum depression is hard and debilitating, but it's not an excuse for murder. $50,000.00 bail isn't enough. People that hurt their kids shouldn't be allowed to have anymore. For a parent that tries to kill their own child sterilization should be a part of the sentence. I'm not trying to sound judgmental but facts are facts. They seem to be harder on animal abusers than they are on child abusers these days.

Unbelievable! I few years ago I remember watching a program about parents who purposely harm their children to receive medical attention. It's some sort of mental illness, I believe. A friend of mine recently read a biography about that from the viewpoint of the child. Very very sad!
