Is anyone taking their kids to the Gator game this weekend?

The Swamp is an amazing place, but I bet it can be pretty overwhelming for our little ones -- the crowds, the noise, the crazy fans. How old were your kids/will your kids be when you take them to their first football game? (I'm thinking maybe next season; my oldest will be 4 then.)

If you go this weekend, or if you're just watching the game in Orange and Blue at home, don't forget to post your pictures!!

My husband and I took our daughter to the game today, and she had a BLAST. I took her to the orange and blue game in the spring, which was a great way to see if she liked it since it was only $5 instead of $40 and the crowds weren't so overwhelming!

My daughter was cheering, singing the songs, shaking her pom-pom, giving high-fives, everything! She didn't even want to leave when we decided it was time to go during the fourth quarter.

The Gator women's soccer team games are PERFECT for the kids (we went Friday night when the Gators lost to UCF 1-0 due to UCF's outstanding goal keeper). The games are free and parking is free.

The next match is on the 31st (always at 8 pm). The stands are not full so kids can actually move around. During half time the kids go down on the sidelines and take part in activities where MANY win prices (free food, etc). And T-shirts are thrown into the crowds.

Nobody watches the gate so you are able to bring in water or Gatorade, if you want. Drinks are about $2.75 each if you buy them from the concession stand. My friends brought in Gatorade for their children as money is tight for the family of 8.
