What's the strangest snack or meal your child has requested? What's the strangest food request that you have actually granted?
Just a few minutes ago Savannah asked me for a dish of frozen broccoli. Then she asked for a knife and fork (that matched, no less) and now she is cutting it up and eating it. This is a new one for me. |

My three year old likes frozen peas...not cooked or fresh peas...just frozen. She has also decided she loves sliced pepperoni, a spicy one..I limit her to about 3 or 4 circle slices because they are so spicy. She likes broccoli too...but only steamed broccoli...she won't eat it raw.

I think so far the strangest request has been for crab cakes. She refused to eat them when I made them, but she asked for them again now! Maybe one day she will try and like them so I can have another seafood eater in the house.
She will also ask for breakfast food for dinner but as long as she eats, I don't call it odd... lol Frozen broccoli is out there tho, adventuresome palate there! |

To follow up -- she ate all of it, even the stems. I couldnt do it, but I'll encourage her to make a habit of it! lol

Frozen broccoli? That is definitely a new one for me. I can't really think of anything odd my daughter has requested. But she does get a bit wierd with Catsup.
If we have it out for tater-tots or chicken nuggets, for example, she will dip everything in it. Gross! Or she will want to just scoop it up with her fingers and eat it plain. Ew! |
