I cannot imagine the torment this young man must feel. This would leave me feeling like 'if only I could have said the right thing.." then maybe I could have stopped it. And even though that may not be the case, this phone call is going to haunt him on so many levels.

It's really sad when even intellegent adults get to the point of thinking the only way out is taking their own lives - because they can't "live" with the consequences of their actions. Now - their son - has to live with that for the rest of his life. Such selfish actions on his parents part - but their son is the one to live and feel the regret, loss and hurt.
