Tats are becoming more common now. I have one on my chest and I am very proud of mine. It's a butterfly with my kids' names and birthdays inside the wings.

What are your thoughts on them?

Want one. Haven't been brave enough to do it yet, but probably will get up the guts to do it sometime after we move back to Florida. My husband's cousin has gotten a few and will go with me when I get mine. I want a fairy, probably on my lower back.

I actually want another. Had been thinking for a long time about getting something symbolic of my sister, but it needs to be right. Maybe for my birthday (in June), I'll go for it. Just want something small...

I had a friend who used to work at Body Tech (on university) he was telling me that many of the guys in there can come up with something for you. You give them some ideas and they will sketch something up....might be worth checking into. My bday is in June too Smiler

I have one on my left shoulder blade (2 butterflies) and can't wait until I can afford to get the next one which will be my astrological sign somehow turning into my daughters..... I'm definately going to have to have someone draw it out though. And I don't know where I want it either.... It can't be somewhere visible unless I want it visible and nowhere that's going to sag either. LOL... Any suggestions?

I would like to get a second tattoo, but I am not sure where or when. I am not even sure what I want to get.
My dh doesn't like to wear jewelery, so he doesn't have a wedding ring, but he wants to get a tat of our initials on him. He is letting me design it. Smiler
He already has one tat.

lilbit1656: I am not sure about suggestions on where to put a tat. I have mine in a place on my chest where I can show it off by wearing tank tops or low or v-necks, but I can cover it up for work with button up shirts and other office type clothing. It works out well for me.

Really? How does that affect you when you need IV things in the hospital, or shots?

LOL! I was just kidding! I meant that I don't do well with needles (low pain tolerance)!

Oh...hahaha! I was thinking, well, what happens when you get a shot? Forgive me for baby brain. But then again, it seems like I have heard about allergies for everything! I think I am allergic to laundry!

Oh, yes, I'm allergic to laundry, too! There doesn't seem to be any pill to take that away!

I'm "allergic" to needles as well, but I want to try and overcome that for a tat. I figure I went through childbirth twice, I can do this!

I woulnd't mind getting one but I've seen my grandpa's from when he was on a navy ship - was a heart with a banner over the top middle with my grandma's name on the ribbon. He's 91 now and I don't ever remember being able to read her name on the banner. It's always been rather "messy" looking on his arm in my mind. That's what keeps me from having it done - eventually - it will look all messy. I don't want it to be seen by anyone either unless I want to show it off - so it would be in a strategic place - but then I figure what's the point of spending the money and not having anyone see it????

I think for me - it's more of a rebel thing anyway - dumb reason to get marked where once you get it - there's no undoing it.
