"Reasons for the increases are uncertain but may be similar to those in the United States, such as an increase in autism cases and drug industry influence." I definitely agree that these big drug companies are influencing how certain drugs are being prescribed. And the bottom line (surprise, surprise) is money. |

We were just talking about this the other day...one thing we know for sure that there are cures out there that is being held back because the sake of money....they want the drugs out there to make that money so they don't talk about the cures...they only led us to believe there may be a cure someday, when it really is already here. Drugs is the key to making money and why they pay so much when lobbying.
I know many may not agree, but for how long have they talked a bout a cure for the different diseases???? I know for MD it has been over 40 years...why is it taken over 40 years to find a cure for Muscular dystrophy? Or over 20 years or more for cancer, etc..etc... think about it????? its all for the sake of money...& drugs! Safe hugz, Dee collegemomscafe.blogspot.com/ |

I agree totally, deebird.
There is no profit to be made in a CURE, any more than a drug dealer selling cocaine that will keep a junkie high forever. The profit is made in medicine to reduce symptoms, but not cure anything. Getting people hooked, so they have to keep paying out huge sums of money. And because of the drug company lobbyists, our government is complicit. How many kids were prescribed ritilin, or some other ADD drug, when they didn't need it? Tens of thousands. Let me take it a step further, just to see if anyone else has noticed this... It is illegal to advertise things like liquor and cigarettes during certain time periods on television, right? because we dont want kids seeing those items glamorized, and yet from sunup to sundown, and all night long, there is a nonstop barrage of ads for new wonder-drugs. Drugs to make you skinny, or energized, or sexy, or any other thing you could want. Meanwhile, we teach kids that marijuana is bad for them, and then we sit down and watch the TV tell us that we need to load up on all these new drugs. Mixed signals? Drugs are bad... except for THESE drugs, which are great. I love America, and what it stands for, but sometimes the hypocracy is just overwhelming. |

Hawthorne 3 wonderful kids! step-son (17) son (8) girl (5) |
OMG! I so agree with you, Nathaniel! I have had more than one teacher suggest to me that he may have ADD. I refuse to hear it. He is a very bright child who gets bored easily.
My daughter is just turned 5 is more active than he is and I suspect that I will be hearing the same thing about her. However, I will do the same thing with her. I do not believe she has ADD of ADHD. I never gave much thought that cures were already avaliable, but I think drug companies are very money hungry. Tammy |
