I love breakfast, and usually don't mind eating it any time of day. Midnight eggs and toast? Check. Pancakes or waffles in the middle of the afternoon? Check. And if there is biscuits and gravy to be had, it doesnt matter what time it is. Not only does it taste good, but its easy to make.

To my wife, this is something unique and rare. To her, breakfast is a morning-time event only.
Tonight we're having eggs, sausage, toast, and pancakes for dinner.

Does anyone else eat breakfast for dinner, or am I weird in this regard?

Which way do you go?

Nate

Are you kidding???? I LOVE breakfast for dinner, or lunch, or breakfast, or a midnight snack. That was common in our house when I was growing up, and it's becoming very common now with my kids....I wonder if it's a Southern thing?

I love breakfast foods! But because mornings are so rushed, I don't usually get to enjoy a big meal. I think I might make a breakfast dinner tonight. Big Grin

I'm not a huge breakfast fan, but on occasion we have breakfast for dinner. When I'm reeeaaaallly unmotivated to cook, sometimes the boys will eat cereal for dinner!

We sometimes add food coloring to our pancakes, or I dribble out the batter to make shapes (fish, letters, etc.). The boys think that's fun!

My family also enjoys breakfast for dinner. We do it about once a week. Very rare is the occasion we actually have time for a hot breakfast in the morning. Most mornings it is cereal, toaster strudel, toast and oj, or cereal/granola bars. Saturday is usually the only morning I would have the time to cook and to be honest I am usually too tired. Sometimes we go out for a breakfast lunch after church.

We love breakfast for dinner. In fact, we went to the Cracker Barrel for dinner a couple of nights ago and of the 7 of us that went, only my FIL and I ordered non-breakfast (I was just in the mood for a salad). My kids love pancakes for any meal. But I also like dinner for breakfast-pizza is a favorite and even last week one morning I had leftover pork roast on an onion roll! YUM!

I'll pretty much eat anything anytime though Smiler

My hubby thinks along the same lines as your wife Nate! Although lately I've gotten him to loosen up a bit about it. I try and make him biscuits and gravy or something else I know that he'll like rather than just doing pancakes.

Just FYI, we had pancakes, scrambled eggs with lots of cheese, toast, and sausage links. And it was perfect!
