So I get home from work last night and Nate's brother is on the phone. He wants us to take a $500 Olympic size trampoline off of a friend of his because her landlord said it was a no no in terms of the lease and homeowners insurance. We had to decide quickly so agreed to take it. But both of us are still worried and debating putting it up. It has a six foot safety net but neither of us has had any experience with trampolines. We don't want any broken bones or anyone suing us but then again our daughter just loves the trampolines at Sun Country and 02B. Does anyone have any advice to offer?

I've never had a trampoline, but it sounds like your daughter would have fun with it! A friend of mine turns a sprinkler on underneath it and her kids have fun! As far as safety issues, I think the net would be safe as well as enforcing some rules early on.

they are pretty safe w/ the nets and adult supervision.. Our son loves to go to the house across the street and play on the nieghbor's trampoline. If you decide you do not want it, we may buy it from you Smiler.

I agree. I think it's all about adult supervision, although the nets on the sides do help.

I told my husband that I'd think the boys would really enjoy one -- us too -- but we're waiting until they're much older!

Have fun!!

the water underneath worries me. they are slippery as is but who knows.

my son broke his foot on one. there were four of them on and his sister "double jumped" him. but accidents happen and he is fine. he tried out four weeks later for a travel baseball team in his cast so all is well...

Can you go there any time and use their trampolines? That sounds like fun!
