Two boys, ages 3 and 1 |
My 3-year-old is beginning to show interest in the computer. Does anyone know any Web sites that are age-appropriate for toddlers/preschoolers?
So far we've checked out PlayhouseDisney.com, of course. And a friend told me about www.buildyourwildself.com/, which is sponsored by the New York Zoos and Aquarium. |

My son started expressing interest at about 3 also. We really encouraged it as it seems like a great skill to develope early. He likes tv.disney.com and nickjr.com. I have to say, I now am always trying to get him off the computer. He LOVEs it! It can be totally turned off and he will boot it up, find a game that he saved to his favorites and start playing all before I can catch him! When he asks me a question, we google the answer together.....well, not for all questions as I can usually answer a few of them on my own

NW Gainesville 2..girl 7 and boy 3 |
We like www.enchantedlearning.com and also Noggin's website. Enchanted Learning is free, Noggin's basic site is free but they also have a subscription service...I believe Playhouse Disney has both as well. We also check out software from the library and my 3 year old LOVES it...especially Reader Rabbit and Jumpstart. They have fun games and stories. Hope this helps
Oh and my daughter started on the computer when she was about 10 months (my hubby is an IT guy..haha) and she is 7 now and awesome on it...she can do her own research and all kinds of stuff...supervised of course |
