I swear I knew all of my kids' personalities from day one. Was it/Is it the same for you guys? My friends with no kids don't believe me. How could you know their personalities as newborns? But, it's true. I knew them all.

I have to agree. I knew my kids' basic personalities also. Just like I know if they were a boy of girl before birth and what color hair and eyes they would have as soon as I saw them.
I think it is part of mother's intuition.

My firstborn was a pretty happy baby and smiled at a really early age and it wasn't just gas He's an optimist and very sweet and affectionate now at almost 7.

My second was the world's easiest baby. I mean, in the hospital after he was born, from the time he got his bath until the next day, he didn't cry once! He was the easiest baby, very ideal! He did have a very difficult period from 2 - 3.5, but he is still a pretty easy little kid. Give that kid some Legos and he's happy for hours.

My third, however, from day 1 was feisty and mischievous and still is!!! He would cry loudly until the instant he was picked up and held. He's still my loud mischievous child.

I agree 100%..the day they were born, they were already the exact little people that they are becoming. It really is amazing!

even though I learn more every day, like the extent of it all, and see it develop... how cool is that? We are all so lucky to be parents.

When my daughter was first born, she was an easy-going angel. I thought, "This parenting thing isn't bad at all." But then the first week ended. She developed acid reflux, suffered from some other health problems and had colic.

Although she was still my bundle of joy, I'm pretty happy she grew out of that stage. From about 4 months on, she's been an energectic, smiley, inquisitive, always laughing little girl.
