My 3-year-old had a play date with his best friend at the park this weekend. They were both so hot that we called it a day after only an hour. Both kids were exhausted and covered in sweat. What are some ideas for cool, summer play dates? I know there are some good ones out there -- the Discovery Room at the FLMNH, maybe? Or are there classes at Sun Country?

How about lunch and play at Chick-Fa-La? Or the play area in the mall?
The Discovery room is great. I used to take my kids there all the time before I started working. My kids loved it and the museum, not matter how many times we went.

We do the play area at the mall sometimes...you just have to get it at the right times...which I have yet to figure out. Maybe it's just a hit or miss thing. Sometimes the kids there are horrible and my 3 year old won't even get down and play if there are a bunch of roughies there. The lunch and play at Chick Fil A ???? Oooooh I LOVE Chick Fil A but I didn't know they had it... Is it the one on Archer road?? Is the play area inside?? I'll have to remember that next time I am in G'ville!!

Yeah, the play area is inside and in a/c..the one on archer rd. It's not real big, but my kids have fun there.

Oh, and I think I remember at one time that O2B Kids has a play area you can use. I don't remember all the details. I think that if you are a member, you can use it as much as you want, but you have to be with your child. You can always call and find out more details on that one too.

We had a membership to O2B Kids last year for my son. It was 60.00 a month and did offer a lot. I would encourage you to check them out online. We did not rejoin as we felt it was a "been there, done that" thing.

Yeah, we are always at Chic-Fil-A. We should do a Chic-Fil-A night, huh?

well, I took my 3 year old to o2b kids this week since it was raining and she needed to release some of that energy. It was $8 for the both of us since we are non-members. It's fun for every once in awhile in you are on a budget. And we went to family fun night at Sun Country Gymnastics. Its the 2nd Tuesday of every month. We are non-members so it was $15 for our 3 year old, free for the baby, and free for the parents.

$15 for a 3-year-old! Wow, that's more than going to the movies.
